the olsen twins are objective gods

by millennial pink feminist

I have met many different types of people. I have heard many different perspectives on topics that range from politics to the best stool softeners. I will be the first to admit I find most views that diverge from my own to be stupid…but there is one opinion in particular that I have even less patience for. I find this opinion to be so ignorant and disturbing that it is a complete conversation-stopper. I know once the words are uttered, or the thought even insinuated, the friendship is over.  What I’m trying to say here is that when people question the divine omnipotence of the Olsen twins or imply that they are anything but geniuses, we are DONE.

“What are they even doing now?” this sort of idiot might ask. Um, providing more inspiration and aesthetic guidance every day than you will in an entire lifetime? One utterly unique Longchamps-carrying girl asserted that the twins had really gone downhill since their globe-trotting, Dualstar days. If downhill is now synonymous with becoming fashion luminaries, sure, yes, they are going downhill.

So maybe anyone stupid enough to question the relevance of our Queens doesn’t actually keep up with them. Let me fill you in: Aside from their iconic personal style and powerful gazes that breathe life into our Instagram feeds, they are beacons of the fashion industry. They run two respected clothing companies, Elizabeth and James and The Row. The twins have won several awards for their lines, and the clothes are donned by some serious fashionistas.

The twins’ monetary success, clairvoyance for all things chic, and pronounced disdain for self-promotion make them untouchable deities. The Olsen Twins are objective gods. If you think otherwise, thank you next.
